Job summary

Urban Outfitters is seeking a Merchandise Operations Coordinator to support daily buying operations, PO processing, and cross-functional coordination with vendors, DC, and planning teams. You will ensure timely deliveries, maintain SKU data, manage backorders, RTVs, and assist with invoice corrections while collaborating with Buying, Planning, and Allocation to optimize stock.

• Attention to detail in PO entry, SKU data, and invoice corrections.
• Strong time management for deliveries, seasonality, and priorities.
• Clear, consistent communication with vendors, DC, and internal teams.
• Problem solving to address delays, discrepancies, and backorders.
• Cross-functional collaboration with Buying, Planning, and Allocation.

Responsibilities

• PO Entry and Revisions: Enter and revise purchase orders as needed.
• Timely Delivery: Track and monitor receipts to ensure on-time delivery.
• SKU Maintenance: Keep SKU information accurate and up to date.
• Backorder and Pre-Order Management: Manage backorders and pre-orders for customer satisfaction.
• DC Communication and Follow-Up: Coordinate with the distribution center for smooth ops.
• RTVs, Retickets, and Price Changes: Handle RTVs, reticketing, and price changes with Planning.
• Receipt Management: Manage receipts with open-to-buy availability and planning shifts.
• DTC Flags and Shipping Restrictions: Manage DTC flags and shipping limits.
• GTIN Management: Oversee GTIN management.
• Event and Seasonal Deliveries: Coordinate time-sensitive deliveries for events.
• Invoice Corrections: Assist in corrections with Accounts Payable.
• Team Collaboration: Work with Buying, Planning, and Allocation toward goals.
