Job summary

Fifth Third Bank in San Antonio, TX, is seeking a Business Banking Relationship Manager II to lead client development and provide tailored financial solutions to companies with $2M–$10M in annual gross sales.

You will work with product partners in a consultative sales process, manage risk, and help clients achieve financial goals while expanding an assigned portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years sales experience; minimum of 3 years managing business banking or commercial relationships preferred.
• Formalized credit training or equivalent credit risk experience required.
• Underwriting experience preferred.
• Proven ability to build new and existing client business and provide a positive client experience.
• Strong business acumen, to include detailed analysis of financial statements and accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Prospect for new clients by utilizing referral sources, existing clients, financial centers and centers of influence.
• Work with product partners to analyze, evaluate and develop a tailored relationship strategy for each client or prospect.
• Attend community/industry events to broaden networks and deepen knowledge of trends and competitive landscape.
• Retain and grow long-term profitable client relationships.
• Cross-sell Fifth Third products to an existing portfolio of business customers and their owners/senior management.
• Coordinate all client-facing activities including credit support and other product partners.
• Conduct pre-call planning and One Bank Consultative Sales approach with timely post-call follow up.
• Use CRM for client activity tracking, call reports and pipeline management.
• Partner with Portfolio Managers and Credit Officers on credit requests and adhere to PM guidelines.
• Monitor credit exposure and risk, pricing and asset quality metrics.
• Complete administrative responsibilities in a timely manner.
