Job summary

Fifth Third Bank is seeking a Business Banking Relationship Manager III in Houston to develop and manage a portfolio of small to mid-market clients. You will lead relationship strategies, advise clients on smart financial solutions, and collaborate with product partners to grow revenue.

You will coach RM I/II staff, monitor credit risk, and ensure superior client experiences while meeting risk and profitability targets in a dynamic regional banking environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum 5 years of sales experience and 5 years managing business banking or commercial relationships preferred.
• Formalized credit training or equivalent credit risk experience required.
• Underwriting experience preferred.
• Proven ability to build new and existing client business and deliver a positive client experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop qualified prospects within defined segment using referrals and centers of influence.
• Collaborate with product partners to tailor relationship strategies for clients.
• Participate in industry forums to expand networks and knowledge.
• Retain and grow long-term profitable client relationships.
• Cross-sell applicable products to business customers and owners.
• Plan and conduct relationship strategy and reviews with partners.
• Coordinate client-facing activities including credit support.
• Maintain CRM activity tracking and pipeline.
• Partner with Portfolio Managers on credit requests and guidelines.
• Monitor credit risk and asset quality; ensure risk controls.
