Job summary

Buzz Solutions is seeking a strategic Business Development Representative (BDR) to drive adoption of our AI solutions within the electric utility sector. You will own a defined territory of enterprise utility accounts and craft tailored outreach strategies grounded in deep account research.

This is a strategic, account-based role, not a high-volume dialing position. You will engage prospects, qualify opportunities, and schedule meetings for the sales team, while collaborating cross-functionally

Qualifications

• 2+ years in quota-carrying sales or similar customer-facing role.
• Ability to independently own a territory or book of accounts.
• Strong research and outreach planning skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Basic understanding of AI tech and its applications in utilities.

Responsibilities

• Own a defined territory of enterprise utility accounts and build a qualified pipeline.
• Conduct deep account research to tailor an outreach strategy before engagement.
• Execute multi-channel outreach (phone, email, social, events) around each account's challenges.
• Qualify opportunities and set up meetings/demos for the sales team.
• Collaborate with sales, partners, solutions, and other teams to align on strategy.
• Maintain up-to-date CRM records and report on progress.
