Job summary

Chelsea Search Group is seeking a Technical Business Development Manager for ASIC/FPGA in Cedar Rapids, IA. The role bridges engineering depth with business development to bring advanced semiconductor solutions to market.

You will work with Mil-Aero, Industrial, and Medical customers to translate technical challenges into compelling opportunities and collaborate with engineering and product teams to craft proposals and estimates. Expect up to 30% travel.

Qualifications

• BS EE or MS EE with relevant field experience.
• Experience in design automation tools for ASIC/FPGA.
• Proven ability to translate customer needs into technical and business opportunities.
• Experience with Mil-Aero or industrial customers is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Close business by providing technical sales support during various stages of the sales cycle.
• Contribute to the development of the overall ASIC architecture.
• Develop long-term relationships with clients, through managing and interpreting their requirements.
• Develop technical and cost proposals.
• Make technical presentations and demonstrate how a product meets client needs.
• Meet regular sales targets and coordinate sales projects.
• Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education.
• Responsible for presales technical engagements.
• Responsible for understanding the technical requirements and forecasts realistic customer requirements.
• Search for new clients who might benefit from company products or services and grow business with existing customers.
