Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Business Development Director for US Air and Space Forces to identify, shape and win opportunities in the Digital market space. The role emphasizes customer engagement, value proposition development and competitive assessments to drive growth within the DoD sector.

The candidate will lead opportunity maturation, coordinate cross‑functional teams, and collaborate with industry partners while maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders across the USAF and USSF.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 15+ years of professional experience.
• Strong familiarity and relationships with US Air Force and US Space Force.
• Demonstrated ability to develop a business growth pipeline across a heterogeneous portfolio.
• Diplomatic, persuasive and articulate communication style to establish and maintain rapport with internal and external customers/partners.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop and lead opportunity maturation and pursuit, to include management and execution through qualification and capture.
• Manage full life‑cycle process across multiple simultaneous pursuits.
• Identify gaps and emerging requirements, perform market and economic analysis, design and execute customer engagement plans.
• Support captures within the assigned area of responsibility, including participation in reviews and development of capture strategy.
• Develop, manage and maintain the BD budget for the division, including planning and oversight of expenditures.
