Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Space Force Technical Director to lead capability validation and solution development for Space Force programs. The role requires executive-level discussions and collaboration with Space Force Portfolio Managers to align solutions with customer missions.

Primary responsibilities include on-contract execution, technical leadership for proposal artifacts, and supporting business development with discriminating value propositions. Strong C2 space systems experience is essential.

Qualifications

BS degree in a technical/scientific field and 12+ years of relevant experience.
10+ years in progressively responsible technical roles, including work with DoW, IC, or national security space programs.
Experience in three of: Networking, Cybersecurity, System Development, AI/ML, Data Science or Data Governance.
Expertise across full acquisition lifecycle and C2 systems for space operations.

Responsibilities

Lead on-contract execution and growth of SF agency contracts with emphasis on requirements decomposition and architecture.
Engage with customers as a technical expert to translate mission needs into solutions.
Develop white papers, RFIs, proposals, and briefings to showcase capabilities.
Support BD and capture teams to identify and pursue opportunities.
Guide technical leadership in capture strategy and value propositions.
Prepare OV-1 and initial solution elements for customer validation.
Assist in program management reviews and project performance improvements.
Conduct pre-sales engineering activities with BD and Operations leadership.
