Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Business Development Director for US Air and Space Forces to identify, develop, and qualify opportunities in the Digital market space. You will shape technical solutions, perform competitive assessments, and drive opportunity maturation across USAF/USSF portfolios.

Travel may be required as needed while collaborating with cross-functional teams to align strategy with Leidos growth objectives.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience with 15+ years of professional experience.
Strong familiarity and relationships with US Air Force and US Space Force.
Demonstrated ability to develop a business growth pipeline across a heterogeneous portfolio.
Aptitude for strategic planning, financial analysis, business development and teaming.
Diplomatic, persuasive and articulate communication to establish rapport with customers/partners.
Experience with milestone-based BD and capture processes, including opportunity identification and capture management.
Ability to operate at the senior level to influence, negotiate and close.
US citizenship and ability to obtain DoD security clearance (TS/SCI).

Responsibilities

Identify, develop and lead opportunity maturation and pursuit, including qualification and capture.
Manage full lifecycle across multiple simultaneous pursuits.
Design customer engagement plans and shaping win themes with marketing/comms teams.
Support captures with reviews, tag-ups and capture strategy development.
Conduct New Business Reviews to align pipeline, opportunities and capture strategies.
Develop and maintain the BD budget for the division including planning and oversight.
