Job summary

CAE USA Inc. seeks a Senior Business Development Manager to lead the US Air Force business development team, establishing and communicating growth plans, recruiting and guiding the team, and building strategic relationships to win new opportunities.

The role requires deep knowledge of the USAF acquisition process, MAJCOMs and AFLCMC, and the ability to craft compelling briefing materials for executives. If you have a DoD clearance or eligibility and a track record in defense training, you will

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering or another applicable field.
• 8+ years of business development or relevant experience.
• Extensive experience with joint training requirements and synthetic training environments
• Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain one quickly
• Must have knowledge of the DoD acquisition process, export, and policy governing sales of defense equipment
• Comprehensive understanding of the USAF acquisitions process and capture management
• Excellent written and oral presentation skills for senior executives
• Experience leading teams and managing budgets
• Demonstrated ability to build customer and industry relationships
• Experience in the training and simulation market a plus
• Ability to travel up to 25%

Responsibilities

• Develop US Air Force portfolio strategy
• Provide clear guidance, coaching and leadership to supporting staff
• Demonstrated understanding, knowledge and relationships with USAF MAJCOMs and AFLCMC
• Proven knowledge of the USAF acquisition process and industry pursuit cycle
• Develop and nurture relationships with key customers and industry peers
• Prepare and package concise, clear, and compelling briefings
• Generate and communicate business case rationale, risks, and customer value propositions to Senior Leadership
• Generate detailed assessments of the customer landscape
• Analyze customers' desired capabilities and the competitive environment
• Organize cross-functional teams for strategies and business cases
• Support fellow BD leads with adjacent pursuit strategies
• Coordinate and lead customer demonstrations and marketing communications campaigns
• Ensure compliance with company policies
