Job summary

MeeDerby seeks a Director of Business Development to build a new client book and drive revenue across engineering, automation, and manufacturing sectors. You will pursue net-new relationships, own the sales cycle from prospecting to placement, and collaborate with delivery teams on handoffs.

Ideal candidates have 5–10 years in staffing business development, a proven new-logo track record, and a hunter mentality with strong activity levels. Remote options available in the US.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of staffing business development experience.
• Proven track record of true new logo acquisition.
• Experience in Staffing in engineering, automation, robotics, oil & gas, warehouse automation or skilled trades.
• Self-directed and motivated by commission-driven earnings.

Responsibilities

• Identify, pursue, and close net-new client relationships.
• Build and manage a full-cycle sales pipeline from prospecting through first placement.
• Target clients in engineering, automation, and manufacturing sectors.
• Drive revenue through new logo acquisition.
• Partner with delivery teams during post-sale handoff.
• Represent the company at industry events and networking functions.
• Consistently meet and exceed gross margin targets.
