Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Strategic ACO Contract Manager in the United States to lead complex contract negotiations with hospitals, physician groups, and other providers. You will develop contracting strategies balancing financial performance, quality outcomes, network adequacy, and affordability, and oversee the full lifecycle from negotiation to renewals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least eight years of related work experience beyond the degree, with a strong background in healthcare contracting, provider relations, or health plan operations.
• Contract negotiation expertise in health plan operations, provider operations, or related healthcare environments.
• Strong understanding of provider contracting strategies, risk-based agreements, reimbursement structures, financial models, operational impacts, and data analytics.
• Financial acumen: ability to evaluate complex financial arrangements and healthcare quality programs.
• Legal and contractual understanding: interpret and assess legal documents, contractual language, and complex agreement structures.
• Relationship management: ability to build and maintain external relationships based on trust and clear communication.
• Strategic thinking: evaluate scenarios, anticipate challenges, develop contracting solutions, and recommend actions.
• Adaptability: flexibility in developing contracting terms to changing business needs.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate, draft, and evaluate provider contracts, ensuring alignment with financial objectives, standard contract templates, reimbursement guidelines, and established process controls.
• Oversee contracts from initiation and negotiation through execution, monitoring, renewal, amendment, and closure, ensuring deadlines and obligations are managed.
• Keep contract language, fee schedules, and reimbursement terms current with medical policy changes and evolving reimbursement structures.
• Issue resolution: address provider concerns, manage contractual disputes, and facilitate effective resolutions for long-term partnerships.
• Assess provider and network performance to identify opportunities for cost efficiency, quality, stability, and service delivery.
• Contribute to provider recruitment, network expansion, network adequacy initiatives, and provider-facing marketing activities.
• Develop and negotiate innovative contracting arrangements, including ACO and other value-based models.
• Evaluate complex financial arrangements, risk-based contracting structures, reimbursement methodologies, and operational implications to identify viable contracting solutions.
• Work with internal stakeholders to ensure contracts support business priorities, regulatory requirements, and provider network operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support network management and contracting objectives.
