Job summary

Republic Services in Winston-Salem, NC seeks an Account Manager to proactively maintain and expand relationships with existing commercial and industrial waste customers, promoting the full range of Republic Services offerings.

You will use Salesforce daily to track activities, handle renewals, respond to cancellations, and collaborate with operations to resolve service issues while pursuing growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant sales experience.
• Waste or transportation industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Proactively maintains and retains existing customers by building long-term relationships and customer loyalty.
• Develops knowledge of services, pricing structures, and offers additional services to existing customers.
• Performs contractual re-signs on existing customers to extend relationships and profitability.
• Responds to cancellation requests per escalation policy.
• Communicates with customers regarding pricing initiatives.
• Uses Salesforce daily to schedule and document calls, meetings, and proposals.
• Captures customer emails, minimizes rate restrictions and customer credits.
• Increases customer penetration by selling the full suite of Republic Services products.
• Meets with Sales Manager to review retention activities, goals, and key relationships.
• Partners with operations to address customer service issues.
• Builds relationships and increases company visibility through events and activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
