Job summary

Brenntag North America, Inc. in Indianapolis seeks an Account Manager to lead the sales effort across the assigned territory, engaging customers face-to-face or by phone in a consultative approach to maximize gross profit and satisfaction.

You will drive growth through cross- and range-selling, manage opportunities, and coordinate with product management for pricing, while maintaining CRM records and delivering regular forecasts.

Qualifications

• Preferably post-secondary education with focus in Business, Science or equivalent.
• Experience in chemical distribution or sales (3–5 years).
• Strong communication, negotiation and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Meet sales objectives and drive customer retention while improving satisfaction.
• Identify opportunities for cross- and range-selling with existing customers and new leads.
• Set growth strategies for assigned customers and align with Sales Manager.
• Visit customers, prepare meetings with tools/reports, negotiate and close proposals.
• Maintain CRM data, post-visit notes, and customer projects.
• Provide regular forecasts of product demand to Product Management.
