Job summary

Brenntag is seeking an Account Manager to lead sales efforts across a California territory. You will manage key accounts, drive cross- and range-selling, and coordinate with Product Management for pricing and strategy.

The role emphasizes face-to-face and digital engagement to maximize customer value and profitability. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in chemical distribution sales, strong relationship skills, and a track record of meeting or surpassing targets.

Qualifications

• Preferably Post-Secondary Education with a focus in Business, Science or equivalent.
• Experience in the chemical distribution business, preferably in a sales capacity (3 to 5 years previous experience in sales role).

Responsibilities

• Meet sales objectives and enhance customer retention and satisfaction.
• Identify opportunities for cross- and range-selling to existing customers.
• Set growth strategies and targets for customers in the territory.
• Conduct customer visits, prepare meetings, and negotiate proposals.
• Maintain CRM data, update pipelines, and provide sales forecasting.
