Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Store Manager to lead daily operations across departments, mentor staff, and ensure premier customer service. You will hire, train, and schedule team members, while implementing strategies to meet sales goals.

The role requires at least 1 year of management experience and 2–3 years retail background, with strong communication and conflict resolution skills, and a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent is required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other store areas offer variety.
• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information for decisions.

Responsibilities

• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Lead and coach team to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Achieve sales goals while managing shrink and P&L for the department.
• Ensure safety and training compliance.
• Mentor SDITs and hourly team leaders.
• Maintain store appearance and focus on prime shopping hours.
