Job summary

Meijer is seeking a store leadership professional to plan, direct, and supervise daily operations across departments. You will mentor team members, oversee staffing and training, and drive sales while ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to Meijer standards.

With strong communication, conflict resolution, and multitasking skills, you will manage diverse tasks, promote development, and champion safety in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other store areas (meat, bakery, produce, deli).
• Strong communication to team members with clear direction.
• Ability to resolve conflicts by addressing root causes.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and analyze financial data.

Responsibilities

• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promote career paths and development for team members.
• Document and apply disciplinary actions and discharge recommendations.
• Oversee P&L, drive sales, and minimize shrink in the department.
• Provide exceptional, fast, and friendly customer service.
• Mentor team members to exceed sales goals and maintain Meijer standards.
• Ensure training is completed and safety is a priority.
• Spend majority of time in-store engaging with customers and staff.
