Job summary

Meijer is seeking a store leadership professional to plan, direct and supervise day-to-day operations across departments. You will mentor staff, drive service excellence, and maintain store standards while managing staffing, training, and promotion decisions in a fast-paced retail environment.

With a focus on customer satisfaction and sales growth, you will ensure safety, conduct performance reviews, and lead initiatives that reinforce the Meijer Friendly Initiative across meetings and daily

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments across store areas and customer service exposure helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clear directions and resolve conflicts.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information to inform decisions.
• Experience mentoring team members and driving development.
• Certifications as required by role.

Responsibilities

• Ensure courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promote career paths and development, participate in promotion decisions.
• Document disciplinary actions and advise on discharge decisions.
• Oversee P&L, sales goals and shrink control for the department.
• Model exceptional, fast and friendly customer service.
• Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative in team meetings.
• Mentor team members to exceed sales goals and maintain standards.
• Ensure staff training is completed and ongoing.
• Spend most time in-store interacting with customers and team members.
• Promote a safe work environment and maintain reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
