Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a store leader to plan, direct, and supervise team members across store operations. You will mentor staff, manage staffing and hiring, and drive customer service while achieving sales goals.

You will also handle disciplinary actions, maintain P&L performance, and promote a safe, high-standard work environment. This role offers growth through Meijer’s development programs. Qualified candidates have 2-3 years of retail experience and at least 1 year of management experience,

• Experience leading teams in a retail environment.
• Ability to staff, select and hire to meet staffing needs.
• Proven ability to mentor and develop team members for advancement.
• Demonstrated skills in managing P&L and reducing shrink.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Mentor and coach team members to meet customer service and sales goals.
• Oversee staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Apply disciplinary actions and make recommendations on discharge when needed.
• Promote safe work environment and ensure training is completed for all employees.
