Job summary

Boot Barn is seeking a Key Holder to lead, assist customers, and support store partners in Vestal, NY. You will drive sales, demonstrate product knowledge, and ensure POS accuracy while upholding Boot Barn’s values and standards.

The role emphasizes leadership, teamwork, and hands-on execution of store operations, including merchandising, promotions, and daily performance metrics. This is a full-time position with potential for growth and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• 1 to 2 years of retail sales experience.
• Demonstrates strong leadership, communication, time management and organization skills.
• Availability to work a variety of shifts to meet business needs including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Flexibility with scheduling and willingness to work extended hours when necessary.
• Up to 10% travel to support local stores, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Foster a service and selling culture; exceed overall expectations to build long-standing customer relationships.
• Become an expert in our product categories; understand and communicate product knowledge to the customer.
• Maintain and achieve measurable goals (UPT, ADT, add-ons, data capture).
• Be informed of current promotions and advertisements.
• Maintain merchandising standards and assist with floor moves, display maintenance, and store housekeeping.
• Assist with processing merchandise and replenishing floor stock.
• Accurately complete all sales transactions and manage cash at POS.
• Partner with store leadership to develop skills and improve metrics.
• Complete opening/closing procedures per policies and Time & Attendance rules.
• Adhere to laws and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Demonstrate high quality work, attendance and appearance.
