Job summary

Meijer is seeking a store leadership professional to oversee day-to-day operations, including staffing, training, and delivering exceptional customer service. You will mentor team members, drive sales, manage P&L, and uphold Meijer standards across shifts.

The role emphasizes staffing, development, and coaching to meet staffing needs, promote internal advancement, and maintain a safe, welcoming store environment for customers and associates alike.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Clear direction and effective communication with team members.
• Ability to resolve conflicts and manage multiple tasks.
• Experience with staffing, training, and promoting staff.

Responsibilities

• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet store needs.
• Promotes succession planning and advancement decisions.
• Documents disciplinary actions and advises on separations.
• Responsible for P&L, sales goals and shrink control.
• Provide exceptional customer service and model friendly behavior.
• Mentor team members and ensure proper training completion.
• Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative in team meetings.
• Maintain store appearance and compliance with company standards.
• Ensure safe work environment and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
