Job summary

Rack Room Shoes is seeking a Team Lead to supervise daily store operations and ensure 100% policy compliance. You will mentor staff, provide direction to the Store Manager and Assistant Manager, and step in during absences to drive sales, service, and operational objectives.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and welfare of employees and customers.
• Create, establish and maintain an excellent customer shopping experience; reinforce service standards.
• Process POS transactions, including sales, discounts, refunds, and loyalty handling; manage opening/closing procedures.
• Oversee inventory control: shipping/receiving, price changes, markdowns, singles, damaged merchandise, physical inventory.
• Lead merchandising and visual presentation to company standards.
• Manage payroll-related tasks: scheduling, budget compliance, time & attendance.
• Train and develop direct reports and reinforce customer service standards.
• Support loss prevention to protect company assets.
• Gain a working understanding of day-to-day operations in the store when needed.
