Qualifications

• 2+ years managing a sales team in a retail or services industry.
• Experience coaching a team in a customer-centric, solutions-based environment.
• Strong communication, organization and planning skills.
• Ability to review results against goals and implement growth plans.
• Ability to manage conflict in a cooperative manner.
• Ability to lift/move materials in the 10–50 lb range and work in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong leadership in community, customer service, sales, and team development.
• Ensure the store culture reflects Staples values and community commitment.
• Develop a high-performing team focused on exceptional store experience, consultative selling and total solutions.
• Coach and train the team, using role playing to improve performance.
• Attain sales and service goals, margin targets and store operations execution.
• Coordinate daily merchandising direction and delegate operational tasks with the GM.
• Share responsibility for total store operations and cost control as Floor Leader.
