Staples, Inc. seeks an Assistant Manager to drive sales, service and customer engagement in the store. You will lead a team, build relationships and deliver total solutions that meet customer needs while promoting a positive, inclusive store culture.

This full-time position offers weekly pay, a bonus plan, medical/dental/vision insurance, a 401(k) with company match and associate discounts on store and online merchandise. Immediate opening.

Qualifications

• 2+ years managing a sales team in a retail or services industry.
• Experience coaching a team in a customer-centric, solutions-based environment.
• Must be able to engage and speak to customers and understand their needs.
• Strong communication, organization, planning and adaptability to changing priorities.
• Review results against business goals and strategies and deliver plans for growth.
• Ability to lift/move materials in the 10-50 pound range, climb ladders, stand and walk continuously.

Responsibilities

• Develop a high-performing team focused on providing an exceptional store experience, consultative selling, driving conversions and providing total solutions to every customer.
• Attain sales and services goals, profit margin and execution of store operations.
• Establish business cadence for sales readiness and provide direction for merchandising opportunities.
• Assist with delegating operational tasks in partnership with the GM and share responsibility for total store operations and cost control.
• Champion company initiatives and remain adaptable to change.
