Job summary

Petsense by Tractor Supply is seeking a store team member to assist with daily operations, merchandising and customer service. The role includes live animal care, basic cash handling, and supporting training for new team members.

The position requires flexibility for varied shifts and a customer-focused approach in a fast-paced retail environment. A high school diploma is preferred, and 18+ with a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail and/or pet/live animal knowledge is strongly preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.
• Reading, writing and basic math skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager with execution of operational, sales and merchandising objectives.
• Provide outstanding customer service and promote a safe environment for team members, customers and vendors.
• Open/close procedures and cash handling tasks; reconcile cash drawers daily.
• Execute merchandising activities, pricing changes, and Plan-o-grams as directed.
• Assist customers with loading purchases and care for live animals (feeding, housing, sanitation).
• Support in training new Team Members and complete required documentation.
