Job summary

Rack Room Shoes is seeking a Team Lead to supervise daily store operations and ensure 100% policy compliance across the team. The role provides leadership, training, and guidance to staff under Store Manager direction, stepping in when managers are absent.

The Team Lead will strive to meet sales, service, and operational objectives, and may be a full- or part-time management employee depending on store needs and staffing. Strong communication and people skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and welfare of employees and customers.
• Create and maintain an excellent customer shopping experience and uphold service standards.
• Handle POS transactions, discounts, refunds, loyalty, and open/close procedures.
• Oversee inventory control including shipping/receiving, pricing, and stock accuracy.
• Manage sales floor merchandising and visual presentation per company standards.
• Control payroll-related tasks including scheduling and attendance tracking.
• Train and develop direct reports per company policies.
• Support loss prevention to protect company assets.
• Develop understanding of day-to-day store operations.
