Job summary

Meijer in Wisconsin is seeking a store leadership professional to oversee daily operations, coach team members, and implement strategies to improve customer service and sales. You will manage staffing, development, and promotion decisions while ensuring adherence to Meijer standards and maintaining a safe, efficient store environment.

Responsibilities include staffing, hiring decisions, coaching for career growth, and resolving conflicts to optimize performance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other areas of the store such as meat, bakery, produce and deli; also customer service and product flow experience is helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate to team members with clear direction.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict and address root causes.

Responsibilities

• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promotes succession planning by providing career paths and development needs.
• Documents and applies disciplinary actions and makes recommendations concerning discharge.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and maintaining shrink for the department.
• Mentors and coaches team members to exceed customer service and sales goals.
• Ensures the team is thoroughly trained and communicates the Meijer Friendly Initiative.
