Job summary

Petsense by Tractor Supply is seeking a Store Team Member to support the Store Manager and Assistant Manager in day-to-day operations. You will provide excellent customer service, manage merchandising tasks, and help train team members. The role also involves handling live animals, cash handling, and ensuring a clean, safe store environment.

Shifts may vary, including weekends and evenings, with a focus on delivering a positive shopping experience for customers and their pets.

Qualifications

• Retail experience and/or pet/live animal knowledge strongly preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, reading/writing/counting abilities required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager with execution of operational, sales, and merchandising objectives.
• Provide outstanding customer service and promote a safe, productive work environment.
• Train Team Members on policies and procedures.
• Perform opening/closing procedures and cash handling.
• Execute merchandising activities, price changes, and Plan-o-grams as needed.
• Handle and care for live animals including feeding, bedding and habitats.
• Assist customers with loading purchases and maintain store cleanliness and safety.
