Job summary

Staples, Inc. Assistant Managers drive sales, services and customer engagement in the store and ensure the store is ready for business. You and your team will establish customer relationships that build loyalty and provide total solutions to meet customer needs.

You will guide your team to be positive, inclusive and collaborative while helping customers achieve their goals. Hiring immediately and full-time hours accompany a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• 2+ years managing a sales team in retail/services.
• Experience coaching a team in a customer-centric environment.
• Ability to engage customers and understand needs.
• Strong communication, organization and adaptability to changing priorities.
• Ability to review results against goals and develop growth plans.
• Ability to manage conflict constructively.
• Honesty and integrity with customer and business info.
• Ability to work in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Able to lift/move materials (10–50 lbs), climb ladders, stand/walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing team focused on exceptional store experience and consultative selling.
• Drive sales, service goals and profit margins, executing store operations.
• Provide direction for merchandising opportunities and daily tasks with the GM.
• Coach, train and role-play to develop staff capabilities.
