Job summary

Staples is hiring Assistant Managers to lead sales, services and customer engagement in the store, ensuring the store is ready for business. You and your team will establish customer relationships that build loyalty and provide total solutions to meet customers' needs.

You will guide your team to be positive, inclusive, and collaborative while helping your customers achieve their goals. Hiring immediately and offering immediate opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• 2+ years leading a sales team in retail or services.
• Experience coaching a customer-centric, solutions-based team.
• Ability to engage customers and determine their needs.
• Strong communication, planning and adaptability to priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in community, customer service, sales, and team development.
• Ensure store culture reflects Staples values and community commitment.
• Develop a high-performing team focused on consultative selling and total solutions.
• Coach and train staff through coaching and role playing.
• Attain sales, service goals, profit margins and execution of operations.
• Set daily direction for merchandising opportunities within the store.
• Assist with delegating operational tasks with the GM.
• Shared responsibility for store operations and cost control as Floor Leader.
• Champion company initiatives and adapt to change.
