Job summary

Staples, Inc. Assistant Managers drive sales, service and customer engagement in the store. You’ll lead a team to build relationships, deliver total solutions, and ensure readiness for business while fostering a positive, inclusive culture.

Hiring immediately. You will guide staff through coaching, merchandising decisions, and meeting store goals with strong leadership and accountability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years managing a sales team in retail or service.
• Experience coaching a team in a customer-centric, solutions-based environment.
• Ability to engage and speak to customers and understand their needs.
• Strong communication, organization, planning and adaptability to changing priorities.
• Ability to review results against goals and drive growth.

Responsibilities

• Develop a high-performing team focused on providing an exceptional store experience, consultative selling, driving conversions and total solutions for every customer.
• Attain sales and services goals, profit margin and execution of store operations.
• Establish business cadence for sales readiness.
• Provide daily direction for merchandising opportunities within the store.
• Assist with delegating operational tasks with the GM.
• Shared responsibility for total store operations and cost control; act as Floor Leader.
• Champion company initiatives and adapt to change.
