GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF NORTHEAST IOWA, INC. Independence, IA seeks a Store Team Lead to oversee daily operations, supervise Sales Associates and Utility workers, and ensure the smooth flow of donations to sales.

The role emphasizes customer service, loss prevention, merchandising, safety, and accurate reporting. You will perform Sales Associate duties when needed and support the Store Manager.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to direct, assign, and delegate daily job tasks to Team Members.
• Ability to exercise independent judgement.
• Must be able to lift, push, or pull fifty pounds with assistance.
• Willingness to obtain forklift license.
• Reliable transportation. Ability to work a flexible schedule at multiple locations including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Directs and assigns daily tasks to Sales Associates and Utility workers.
• Greets customers and ensures good service and a positive shopping experience.
• Ensures donations and truck shipments are sorted and graded for stock.
• Operates cash register and handles transactions efficiently.
• Identifies merchandise for online sales and stocks new goods.
• Completes store opening and closing procedures and daily paperwork.
