Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. Under the Store Manager, you will supervise staff, manage merchandise presentation, and handle deposits and paperwork to maximize profitability and reduce losses.

You will also assist with scheduling, training, planograms, and cashier accountability while ensuring compliance with company policies and maintaining store assets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of retail experience required.
• Six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet customers and operate cash register.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling and training of employees, and safety meetings.
• Follow processes to manage merchandise, including receiving, stocking and displays.
