Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help maintain a clean, organized store and a customer-first focus. You will assist with supervision, merchandise presentation, deposits, and store profitability while protecting company assets.

You will also help schedule staff, train employees, manage inventory and execute planograms, and lead when the Store Manager is absent. This role requires reliability and strong teamwork in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers, and operate cash register and scanner to itemize the customer's purchase.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling employees, providing training, safety meetings, and ensuring policy compliance.
• Manage merchandise including receiving, unpacking, stocking, restocking and building displays.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels by controlling damages, markdowns, scanning, paperwork, and facility controls.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms; ensure merchandise is presented per standards.
• Ensure financial integrity through cashier accountability, key control, and cash deposit procedures; authorize refunds and deposits.
• Assist with management of the store in the Store Manager's absence.
