Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager responsible for maintaining a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. Under the Store Manager's direction, you will supervise staff, manage merchandise presentation, complete paperwork, and support deposits to protect company assets and maximize profitability.

You will also perform stocking and cashiering duties, assist with scheduling, training, planograms, and ensure compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• Proven customer service leadership and ability to train staff.
• Experience with cash handling and point-of-sale systems.
• Ability to manage inventory, merchandising and store operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and operate the cash register.
• Open and close the store at least two days a week.
• Assist with scheduling, training, safety meetings and policy compliance.
• Manage merchandise including receiving, stocking, displays and planograms.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and deposits; ensure cash control and security.
• Assist in store management in the Store Manager's absence.
