Job summary

Dollar General Corporation seeks a Lead Sales Associate to maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will help customers locate and purchase merchandise, operate a cash register, stock and recover shelves, and support the Store Manager.

In this lead role, you will assist in training staff, open and close the store as directed, and perform duties in the absence of the Store Manager. This role requires reliability, basic math, and strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months supervisory or related experience preferred.
• Good communication and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and assist customers.
• Operate cash register, total purchases, collect payment, and bag items.
• Stock merchandise, rotate on shelves and set up displays.
• Clean store, take out trash, restrooms, and stockroom areas.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform duties in absence of the Store Manager/Assistant Manager.
