Job summary

Dollar General Corporation seeks a Lead Sales Associate to maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. Responsibilities include helping customers locate and purchase merchandise, operating a cash register, stocking merchandise, and performing duties as assigned by the Store Manager to maximize store profitability and customer satisfaction.

The role also involves leading in the absence of the Store Manager, opening/closing the store, and ensuring compliance with safety policies

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.

• Ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to operate a cash register functions.
• Knowledge of cash handling and deposit controls.
• Ability to drive to bank for deposits.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to total purchases and handle payments.
• Stock and rotate merchandise; build displays per planograms.
• Keep the store clean; manage trash and cleanliness of restrooms.
• Assist with planograms implementation and maintenance.
• Open and close the store under direction of management.
• Perform duties in absence of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
