Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. The role includes assisting customers, operating a cash register, stocking merchandise, and performing duties under store leadership to maximize profitability and satisfaction.

Responsibilities include leading customer service, opening/closing the store, stock replenishment, planogram compliance, and occasional duties of a store manager in their absence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with customers and team members.
• Ability to read planograms and follow merchandise presentation guides.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and greet/assist customers.
• Operate cash register, scan items, process payments, bag merchandise and assist customers.
• Stock and rotate merchandise, open/close the store as directed, and build displays.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety; follow company policies and procedures.
• Assist in planogram implementation and store layout adjustments.
• Perform duties of Sales Associate in the absence of Store Manager or Assistant Manager.
