Job summary

Dollar General seeks a Lead Sales Associate to help run a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. You will greet customers, assist with purchases, operate the cash register, stock merchandise, and maintain displays under the Store Manager's direction.

In this role you may open/close the store, lead sales activities in the manager's absence, follow planograms, and ensure safety while delivering friendly service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months supervisory experience or related training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total customer's purchase, collect payment and give change, bag merchandise.
• Follow company work processes to receive, open and unpack boxes, stock merchandise, rotate on shelves, and build displays.
• Clean the store; take out trash; dust and mop floors; clean restrooms and stockrooms; set up sidewalk displays.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform duties typically performed by Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager in their absence.
