Job summary

Dollar General Corporation seeks a Lead Sales Associate to maintain a clean, customer-first store, assist customers, operate the register, stock shelves, and support the Store Manager. This role often acts in a lead capacity when managers are unavailable.

You will open/close the store per direction, help with planograms, and ensure safe, efficient operations in a fast-paced environment with profitability and customer satisfaction in focus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; six months of supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandise presentation guides.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and greet customers.
• Operate cash register, scan items, total purchases, and give change.
• Stock merchandise, unpack boxes, rotate stock, and set up displays.
• Clean store, take out trash, and maintain restrooms and stockroom.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under Store Manager supervision.
