Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help maintain a clean, customer-first store. You will assist with supervision of staff, merchandise presentation, deposits, and store operations to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

Key duties include customer service leadership, scheduling and training, inventory control, and supporting the Store Manager in their absence. A high school diploma and retail supervisory experience are preferred, with opportunities to advance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers, and operate cash register.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling employees, training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Manage merchandise through receiving, stocking, restocking, and displays.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and control damages, markdowns, and paperwork.
• Assist with planogram implementation and merchandise presentation.
• Ensure financial integrity through cashier accountability and deposits.
• Assist in store management in the Store Manager's absence.
