Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist with supervision, merchandising, deposits, and daily paperwork, while protecting assets and maximizing profitability.

You will support scheduling, training, inventory management, and planogram execution, ensuring excellent customer experiences and adherence to company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Proven ability to supervise and train employees and manage store operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and operate the cash register.
• Open and close the store at least two days per week.
• Assist with scheduling, training, and safety meetings for employees.
• Manage merchandise flow, restocking, and planograms as directed.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and control damages and markdowns.
• Ensure financial integrity through cashier accountability and cash handling procedures.
