Job summary

Rack Room Shoes is seeking a Team Lead to supervise daily store operations, ensuring 100% compliance with all company policies and procedures while driving sales and customer service excellence. The Team Lead provides leadership, guidance and training under the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager, and may cover full- or part-time schedules.

In the absence of store leadership, the Team Lead assumes full responsibility for operations and strives to meet and exceed sales and service

Responsibilities

• Primary responsibility is the safety and welfare of employees and customers.
• Create, establish and maintain an excellent customer shopping experience; maintain service standards and train staff.
• Handle POS transactions per policy for sales, discounts and refunds.
• Manage inventory control including shipping/receiving, pricing changes and markdowns, and conducting physical inventories.
• Oversee sales floor merchandising and visual presentation per company standards and signage.
• Manage payroll-related duties including scheduling and time/attendance compliance.
• Train and develop direct reports in accordance with policies and training tools.
• Support loss prevention efforts and safeguard company assets.
• Develop understanding of day-to-day operations and improve store performance.
