Job summary

Rack Room Shoes is seeking a Team Lead to supervise day-to-day store operations, ensure policy compliance, and provide leadership and training to staff under the Store Manager and Assistant Manager. The role emphasizes maintaining a positive customer experience and guiding employees through daily tasks in a busy retail environment.

The Team Lead will oversee POS, inventory, merchandising, payroll, and loss prevention, stepping in for management when needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day store operations and ensure policy compliance.
• Provide leadership and training to staff under Store Manager guidance.
• Handle POS transactions, sales, discounts, refunds, and loyalty procedures.
• Manage inventory: shipping/receiving, price changes, markdowns, and inventories.
• Oversee merchandising, housekeeping, signage, and promotional setup.
• Monitor payroll, scheduling, and time/attendance to control costs.
• Train and develop direct reports and reinforce customer service standards.
• Lead loss prevention efforts to protect company assets.
• Operate in absence of store leadership and assume full responsibility.
