Job summary

Five Below in Aberdeen Hills, MD is seeking a STORE LEADER to guide crew members in delivering WOW customer service, oversee daily store operations, and uphold the Five Below Way across all tasks.

You will train staff, assist with receiving and stocking, manage opening/closing, and partner with the leadership team on merchandising and cost control. The role requires flexibility, strong communication, and the ability to stay composed under pressure.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• College experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all crew members are WOWing the Customer through personal contact.
• Trains the crew on the BEST customer service experience; ensuring a fast, friendly checkout.
• Oversee daily activities of store associates, ensuring they perform duties effectively and provide excellent customer service.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock for quick shelf placement.
• Act as Manager on Duty, taking responsibility for store operations, staff, and customer issues.
• Manage opening/closing tasks: secure cash, lock doors, set alarms, ensure daily readiness.
• Support onboarding and ongoing training of associates on policies and procedures.
• Drive store sales and control expenses by optimizing merchandising and performance.
• Partner with store leadership on merchandising procedures and World Recovery.
• Perform store maintenance including trash, cleaning, and stock room upkeep.
