Job summary

Five Below is seeking an hourly team member to support daily store operations and customer service. The role involves assisting with merchandising, stock, and opening/closing duties while ensuring a fast, friendly checkout experience for guests.

Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma, 1+ year of leadership or supervisory experience, and strong communication skills to train and guide crew members. This position offers growth opportunities in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• College experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and maintain composure under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all crew members wow the customer through personal contact.
• Trains the crew on the BEST customer service experience; ensures fast, friendly checkout.
• Oversee daily activities of store associates and ensure duties are performed effectively with excellent service.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock for quick stocking on the sales floor.
• Act as Manager on Duty when needed, taking responsibility for store operations, staff, and customer service.
• Manage opening/closing of the store, cash, locks, alarms, and daily readiness.
• Support onboarding and ongoing training of associates on policies and procedures.
• Drive store sales and control expenses by optimizing merchandising, staff performance, and customer service.
• Partner with store leadership on merchandising procedures and recovery.
• Perform store maintenance tasks including cleaning and stocking.
