Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is seeking a part-time ARC HR team member in Hemet, CA, to support daily store operations, cash handling, and donation processing. The role requires reliability, strong customer service, and the ability to work closely with the Store Manager.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, coaching, and ensuring adherence to ARC policies, safety, and regulatory requirements while maintaining a positive community presence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year of retail experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Must pass background check including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, staff, customers, and donors.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with daily store operations including POS, opening/closing, inventory, and donations.
• Cover in the absence of managers; schedule staff and lead shift meetings.
• Monitor KPIs to drive sales and meet budget goals.
• Supervise cash handling, time and attendance, and reporting per standards.
• Ensure customer and donor satisfaction and maintain community relations.
• Maintain security of funds, inventory, and store property; ensure alarms are set after hours.
