Job summary

ZippyApp Talentral Corp. is seeking a Shift Leader in Daytona Beach, FL to oversee daily store operations in the absence of the Store Manager. You will open/close, supervise team members, handle cash, assist customers, and ensure health, safety, and sanitation standards.

The role requires strong communication, basic math, and a track record of dependable performance. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus; travel to multiple locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Comprehensive product knowledge and ability to train other team members.
• Previous training / supervisory experience a plus.
• Company work history will be strongly considered, including attendance, safety and policy compliance.
• Proficiency in basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Must be able to read, write and speak in English.
• Effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Spanish or other language skills are a plus.
• Dependable and flexible; able to travel to multiple locations.
• Excellent customer service, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
• Must adhere to uniform dress code.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for opening and closing the store according to established procedures.
• Directs and monitors day-to-day activities of store team members.
• Communicates with customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Resolves customer complaints, including exchanges and refunds.
• Documents complaints and takes follow-up steps to correct the source of the complaint.
• Performs cash handling procedures and related store reports.
• Completes electronic store reports and conducts bag/video checks.
• Performs cashier duties when necessary.
• Escalates employee issues to Store Manager or District Manager.
• Responds promptly to vendors and deliveries.
• Stocks within all departments and ensures health/safety compliance.
• Handles emergency management and evacuation procedures when needed.
• Protects company property, funds and merchandise and follows loss prevention procedures.
• Performs other duties, including working in other departments, as assigned.
