Job summary

ZippyApp - Recruitment Marketing is seeking a Store Associate in DeLand, FL to provide friendly customer service, cashier duties, stocking, and store upkeep. You will help maintain clean, safe, compliant store conditions and support daily operations under Store Manager guidance.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma or equivalent, solid math skills, and a history of dependable, flexible work. Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong product knowledge and ability to train others.
• Previous training or supervisory experience is a plus.
• Attendance, safety, policy compliance and performance history will be considered.
• Proficient in basic math operations (add/subtract/multiply/divide).
• Able to read, write and speak English; Spanish language skills a plus.
• Dependable and flexible; travel to multiple locations if needed.
• Excellent customer service, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
• Adherence to uniform dress code.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store according to procedures.
• Direct day-to-day activities of full-time and part-time staff.
• Engage customers with friendly and courteous service.
• Resolve customer complaints including exchanges and refunds.
• Handle front-end tasks: cash counting, till prep, cash drops.
• Complete electronic store reports and monitor bag/video checks.
• Perform cashier duties when needed.
• Escalate staff issues to Store/ District Manager.
• Assist vendors with deliveries and stocking.
• Maintain health and safety standards and sanitation.
