Goodwill of Western and Northern Connecticut is seeking a dedicated Shift Supervisor to help run our retail store operations, deliver excellent customer service, and support the mission of Goodwill in the community.

This role requires a high school diploma, retail experience, ability to lead a team, and flexibility for day/evening/weekend shifts. Benefits include health/dental/vision, disability, life insurance, and a 403(b) with employer match.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of retail sales experience including cashiering, customer service, display, shipping/receiving, and inventory tasks preferred.
• Ability to lead and direct team members and to operate the register.

Responsibilities

• Oversee store operations during the assigned shift.
• Open and close the store.
• Delegate tasks and ensure completion by associates.
• Provide excellent customer service and handle complaints/refunds.
• Complete daily documentation and financial reports.
• Sell merchandise, operate POS system, and thank customers for supporting Goodwill.
• Perform stock duties such as merchandise rotation and display work.
• Record inventory and maintain a clean, neat store.
