Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Service Manager to help run the store smoothly by supervising staff across departments and ensuring top-notch customer service. You’ll lead by example, manage schedules, handle customer issues, and support merchandising and compliance initiatives in a fast-paced retail environment.

You’ll train employees on store policies, guide safety practices, and contribute to a team culture focused on service excellence and operational efficiency, reporting to Store leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two or more years of similar or related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate activities of employees across all departments.
• Lead by example to ensure friendly, customer-focused service and positive employee relations.
• Plan, prepare, and adjust work schedules; assign duties and monitor completion.
• Oversee merchandising, compliance, and store operations in the absence of the Department Manager.
• Address customer issues promptly and professionally; ensure service standards are met.
